And the T-SHIRT give away for the Dockery family T IS…drum roll please…

SO with the older 2 off at school and ITY crashed after a night awake–Frankie-baby and I decided it was TIME to draw to see which of my commenters from THIS post wins a free t-shirt! SO we got ready—I wrote out ALL the commenter names…PLUS we added Frank to make it an even number […]

Andrea - August 20, 2010 - 11:02 am

Yeah!!! I just bought one last night! It will be great to have another!!!!

Mandy - August 20, 2010 - 11:25 am

Oh my Frank baby is so cute I just want to kiss him! So happy I won! I LOVE adding shirts to my “adoption” collection as I call it! Sierra says “mom all you were are those shirts!”

Alison - August 20, 2010 - 11:31 am

So FUN! And congrats to the winners!!

Megan - August 20, 2010 - 12:40 pm

Andrea you are the sweetest thing ever! We’ll wear it PROUDLY over here!

Kelly Jo - August 20, 2010 - 12:46 pm

Thanks Frankie-Baby!!! I so wanted this shirt!!! 🙂

SleepyMom - August 20, 2010 - 2:06 pm

Frank is too funny. My 1yr old also loves sweets (all day I hear, “need a treat, need a treat”, “candy mommy, need candy”). He also sneaks into the garage and tries to drink out of the empty soda cans. Good to know we’re not alone…

Meggan McFaden - August 20, 2010 - 2:11 pm

I love following your blog. Would you please let me know the name of the songs you use on your blog. Thanks Meggan @ Texas

Meredith - August 20, 2010 - 3:38 pm

Yay! Thanks for picking my name, Frank! My husband and I love these shirts! I am going to order one for him, too.

school days, doctor days, crazy Frank & photography 101

ITY decided at 2:30am he didn’t want to sleep anymore last night…SO–after 2 hours trying to convince him it was a good idea…at 4:30 I gave up:). Now…if you had emailed me and I returned your email at 4:30am…now you know why;). We were on about day 10 of antiobiotics for a really bad double […]

Love Miss Laney’s bows!!! Erica came home from school yesterday telling me that she MUST have pigtails for school today because Laney wore pigtails and she wanted to look “just like Laney!!” 🙂

I’m praying for you and sweet Isaac tomorrow!

abby - August 19, 2010 - 10:55 pm

love the pics and laney is so precious! love the bows! :0)

Kelly - August 19, 2010 - 11:41 pm

I am crying from laughing at Frank! I love that kid! You can’t blame him. Those chocolate covered pretzels are great and diet dr. pepper is oh so yummy! I’m sure Richard loved that, but he can’t talk…..6 doughnuts. I’ll have to watch him extra carefully tomorrow.

Caytie - August 19, 2010 - 11:43 pm

Will be praying for little Isaac and his momma as you go to the doctors! Your children are just beautiful and that Frank is a crack-up reminds of my 4th, she’s hysterical like him! Loved the bows on Laney and the pics of her sleeping are drop dead gorgeous…nothing like a sleeping child!

Jen - August 19, 2010 - 11:48 pm

beautiful pictures. I’m w/ Frank, I have a sweet tooth, too:)

I was wondering if you had any suggestions about airport homecoming. We want our kiddos to get to see our little girl before the crowd. Someone suggested we tell everyone to meet at baggage claim except for our kids. Just curious…

Elle J - August 20, 2010 - 12:03 am

God will be with you and Isaac tomorrow, I know you will find His peace. Stay strong and keep praying throughout your visit; I will be too. Your children are an adorable, cute, handsome, beautiful four! Uh, love your photos (and the numbers on your stairs!!!).

Shannon - August 20, 2010 - 12:03 am

ohhhh so much in that post…where do I start? First..absolutely we’ll be praying for Isaac tomorrow and tonight for some sleep. Poor Punkin’ and poor mama! Love the picture of your sweet kiddos waiting for school and the precious ones of Laney too! I wish we were closer because I know our girls would be BFFS!! And Frank and my Jo would be best buds too…she does the same thing when she’s caught doing something a little naughty:) Sooo glad you offered up the bow tutorial. I was hoping but didn’t want to ask! It’s not like you have anything going…heehee!! Also….thank you for sharing about the Dockery’s! What an amazing family and I’ll be getting my shirt asap!! Love, Shannon

Dawn - August 20, 2010 - 12:09 am

PRAYING!!! for Isaac, and for wisdom and guidance!!

Kim - August 20, 2010 - 2:42 am

Where do I even start after such a packed full post!
Of course you can count on my prayers for ITY and you!
Love, love, love the back to school photo.
And Frank … how he cracks me up. You know, he reminds me of Kristi’s son George. Both are personality PLUS!
Thanks for the photo tips … I’ve got lots to learn.
Love & Blessings from Hong Kong,
Kim

Christy - August 20, 2010 - 7:14 am

Yay! Can’t wait to read the bow making tutorial, and how fun you are going to make it into a ladies’ night out. I’m hoping to do the same one of these days when I refresh myself on it all. Got info on doing the twisty gymboree like ones yesterday.

Christy - August 20, 2010 - 7:15 am

and PS – still praying for Isaac!

Heather - August 20, 2010 - 7:34 am

My son had ear infections all the time until I took him to the chiropractor. No ear infections since. I took him 4 times (pretty close together) and *poof* gone. It’s so much more natural than antibiotics. They rub his neck and back and it got the stuff out of his head. Just FYI.

amy bell - August 20, 2010 - 9:07 am

i will be praying for isaac…we went through ENT issues with my boys…such tough days for a mama. i think frank should have his own facebook fan club…that child is HILARIOUS. 🙂

amber - August 20, 2010 - 10:15 am

praying for ITY. and i love the sleeping pics. so angelic and innocent and peaceful.

Sara - August 20, 2010 - 12:30 pm

Thanks for the photography advice! I have a D40 and am wanting to get a new lens. I’ve been looking at the 50mm. I have a 55-200 but I’m finding to get shots of little ones I need to be in close and be able to have that shutter work fast.

Kelly - August 20, 2010 - 12:39 pm

Thanks for the camera info! That wil help a lot. Praying that your son does fine with the kidney reflux issue. Our son was too tested for that around 8 months (found out he has hydronephrosis) so I understand how it feels to have your baby going through that. I think its eaiser on them though when they are younger though because they do just sleep a whole lot more. Praying for your baby and (and mommy!)

Megan - August 20, 2010 - 12:51 pm

Laney is a girl after my own heart! Love the fancy outfit (and her school outfit is adorable too).

Rach@InHisHands - August 20, 2010 - 1:27 pm

Congrats to your beautiful family on your newest {adorable} addition! Sending prayers for you today!

Who are we kidding?!

Seriously…at OUR house…is there EVER REALLY a “last day” for summer?! So…YES it is a Tuesday night. YES…that means it is a school night. BUT…recreaction and outdoor activity is important as it helps get some energy out…and of course it can always provide family bonding. Of course—BEFORE we got started Richard laid the ground rules. Isaac update…and ANOTHER tooth!

Ok…like I have time to update my blog TWICE in one day–but this blog is serving as my scrapbook, babybook, you name it–all wrapped up in one when it goes from blog-to-print. SO…I have to get these two things in:). IF you haven’t seen Parker and Laney’s FIRST day of school…oh you just MUST go […]

Lara - August 16, 2010 - 11:46 pm

So glad to hear Isaac is doing so well!!

kristi johnson - August 17, 2010 - 12:41 am

too cute…love the note idea from the TF..will have to steal that idea 🙂 kj

Kim - August 17, 2010 - 4:37 am

Another priceless update. Know you I have walked these very same steps … from hypotonia to PT, OT, feeding therapy, baby sign language classes, and then speech therapy. God’s visible hand guided us every step of the way. Trusting you will meet Him there too in new and powerful ways!
Love & Blessings,
Kim

Shannon - August 17, 2010 - 5:26 am

You’ll gain alot from the ‘tongue’ therapy, which is what I called it. Teg was older- but textures were…. tricky… but it didn’t take long to start seeing improvement. Keep up the therapies in all their glory.. it’s hard… but worth it!

Rebecca Harley - August 17, 2010 - 8:25 am

Andrea – our Jadon had/has many of the same issues that ITY is dealing with – feeding therapy helped immensely- all slow but steady progress. He often still gags at the site of something new – and he is almost 6:). we had 7 hours of therapy a week up until last year – ot, pt, feeding and speech – what a blessing those therapists were and how our lives have changed! WE are all praying for you – I know how difficult the journey is from a momma’s perspective. If you ever need a cyber hug:) or to ask what worked for us – I am here. Love you dear friend

Andrea - August 17, 2010 - 12:36 pm

It is great to hear that he is doing so well. What a great momma you are! And the Lord is so faithful!

Bobi Bobbitt - August 18, 2010 - 12:01 pm

Hey Andrea! What kind of camera do you have? I have a Nikon D40 and the lens just broke so I need to order a new one, is there a lens you would recommend that would fit my Nikon where I could get the professional looking pics like you take! (:
I LOVE the ones you took a few days ago of Frank by the window! Just beautiful! I love photographing my kids but I am not a professional and would love a camera or a new lens that would make my pics look better! Also, I want to start a family blog, do you have any advice for that?? Hope you are having a great wednesday!!! Bobi

Here’s to a new school year!

Oh…here I sit–in a quiet house (until noon time carpool that is;). Babies sleeping…the older two at school. And my heart–overfloweth. Psalm 45:1 says…my heart overflows with a good theme; I address my verses to the King. Last night, marked our last night of summer. Daddy took the kids to a movie…mommy went with the […]

Laney is her knee socks and Mary Jane’s is probably the cutest.thing.ever. May have to implement uniforms in our homeschool this year:) So glad you love your school……I went to a wonderful Christian school, and was so blessed to be a part of it!

Makenzie - August 16, 2010 - 7:37 pm

april - August 16, 2010 - 7:45 pm

I loved their little outfits especially her little dress and socks…so precious! :0) so glad you guys found a great school!

amber - August 16, 2010 - 10:32 pm

You have blessed me beyond measure tonight. You, my dear lady, have just been used in a mighty way. You have spoken to my spirit and I have quoted you in my blog because your/HIS words spoke straight to my spirit in such a divinely timed way. It never ceases to amaze me how God can use this modern technology we have to uplift his saints and to see His will be done! Thank you for speaking without reserve. Many blessing for you in return I pray in Jesus Name!

Debb - August 16, 2010 - 11:22 pm

WOW! You make me want to move to where you live, so that my “somday soon” kiddos can have a school like that to attend! :o) WOW! What it must do to your heart to know that the hours spent away from you are with such amazingly wonderful God-filled people! Praise God! I agree with Amber. You ARE being used in a mighty way! Keep up the writing, as you inspire each reader in our own individualized way! :o) I am enjoying getting to know you, your heart for God, and your family via this wonderful world of blogging! (I think I am now an addict! Ha!) Blessings to you and yours ~

abby - August 16, 2010 - 11:59 pm
