Mama should never be the photographer;)

Being a photographer, I always have to laugh when mommies tell me they count on ME to get their Christmas card portraits or those coveted sibling shots that they have NOT been able to get no matter how hard they try! Well, I always say right back that it’s not my camera or me—it’s having […]

LOVE the big pics!!! These are SO fun….and just real! : )

Amy - November 21, 2009 - 3:40 pm

I still think the pictures are cute and funny 🙂

That is funny that you can't get your kids to pose for you 🙂

I am so excited for all the families traveling and I am really hopeful that numbers will start going down in December!!!

This post made me laugh out loud! I love it!

Love the pics- bigger is great! Hey, it is the memories behind the pics that make it fun anyway. Just reminds us that our lives are real….not fairy tales 🙂

Kim - November 22, 2009 - 6:30 pm

Adorable! Love the bigger photos. Please let us know how you to post them in the larger sizes.

Our drama continued…

OK—promised I’d post about our final movie filming, but I got side-tracked with our MAKING THE WAITLIST…and the “real life” stuff trumps the movie making ANY day! Last Wednesday, we returned to the set to complete our filming in the movie “Life As We Know It” starring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhemal which will premiere […]

I can't stop laughing at Laney-loo's picture with Katherine Heigl!! This is probably the funniest picture she's ever taken.. and when she's all grown up, she'll look back and think, "I was with a movie star and this is the face I made!" haha!!!

I love her sooooo much!!!!!!

Katie - November 18, 2009 - 10:26 pm

What a fun opportunity! Very cool that you got to share 147 stuff with Katherine, too! I was just at Gwen's house tonight getting more necklaces for Christmas gifts. Love them :).

I love the picture of Laney and Katherine…priceless. Thanks for sharing about your fun. I think I will stay out of the movie business, but it was fun to see it though your experience 🙂 So, glad you are on the waiting list too! Did you see all of the court and travel dates that were given this week. I can only guess that lots of referrals will be given after December 🙂
Blessings,
Amy

Great story – love Katherine Heigl, she is such a sweetheart.

[…] as I cleaned our files, I stumbled upon 6 random checks from the movie we were in last Fall (another crazy story of God’s provision). We also randomly last week got a check in the mail from a past photography job that I decided […]

Ahhhh…the life of movie stars;)

Well, we were down for a day of shooting tomorrow in the movie “Life as We Know It”…but one of the kids in the birthday party scene apparently is sick and unable to come. We’ve already filmed the birthday scene from one angel–now we are going back for the same scene from a different angel. […]

Have fun tomorrow! I like your new look for your blog! Very Cute! I dreamed about African Children last night! I don't remember what it was about, but it makes me more excited! Thanks for all your encouragement!

Love Maps:)

Parenting. Eeek. We hear that word…and the next thing I think about is the phrase: good parenting. Then I think of: effective parenting. What is one of the first things that comes to mind when you think about being a good, effective parent? We all have our mommy blogs we go to for inspiration on parenting. […]

Wow! Great post! I needed to hear this. I feel like Dee and I are really starting to work things out too!

You are such an encouragement to me, and I'm so thankful for you!
I feel like we're both in the same boat! I've struggled so much with balancing my photography business & being the wife/mommy I'm called to be for the past three years since we stepped out in faith to this new path. And of course, I try to get my act together, and it doesn't work! It's because only HE can do it! 😉

Yesterday I was at our church Ladies' Retreat, and the sweet girl who spoke to us challenged us to let God lead, and see where he takes us. I have so much trouble staying out of God's way.

So, today, I'm refreshed, excited, encouraged by you, and can't wait to see where he leads us!!!

3 of my favorite things about 3 of my favorite people…

I love… …that every day the minute Parker comes home from school—without fail or hesitation…he always does this He attends Fellowship Christian School…they don’t wear uniforms but require them to wear collar shirts. Parker and collar shirts don’t mix. So–first things always first the minute he walks in the door. He insists he can jump […]

Your blog looks great & your children are precious! My Riley (8 years old) does the exact same thing with his shirt when he gets home from school! Those collars cramp their style :). I'm praying for you guys and that sweet baby waiting to come home!
