This Friday!

Yay! Just got the word from our adoption coordinator—my home study interview will be this Friday at 9:45am! I’m so excited…and by Friday I’ll probably be a little nervous too. I promised her I’d bring the lacking forms (aka Richard’s 16 page personal profile) to my interview…so the pressure is on honey:). I have to say that he is officially on page 13…so just 3 pages to go! WAY TO GO DEAR!

I have to add this last tid bit. I walked into the police station/city hall yesterday to pick up my background check after they called to say my form was ready—you know you have been on a serious paper chase and at City Hall too much when you walk in solo and everyone behind the desk starts hollaring when you come in, “WHERE’S FRANK?!” Pooooor Frank. He has been carted along to all my errands and paper chasing…but not yesterday. Sweet Emily babysat him all day yesterday while the older two were in preschool/PreK so I could finish up my chase!

Looking forward to Friday…then we’ll just have Richard’s interview and our home walk through!!! I’m ready to start my dossier chase asap:)

Girl….you are flying through the paperwork! I am so impressed with your tenacity. We were bogged down all summer waiting for our homestudy to get completed. What was awesome about that was the constant reminder to me that God is sovereign and it is His timing, not mine. So now that is complete and I sent the paperwork to Immigration last week…..YEAH.
I find it interesting the different timelines we all have. I try not to freak out and think I am doing it wrong(but I usually do freak out!)
Praying for your interview tomorrow.

All's grace,
Susan Burkhalter

Yep, we usually take our 7 with us because we homeschool on all of our paper chasing you should see the looks we get! he he he….especially when you ask for your fingerprints to be done so you can adopt another child. The eyes really get big! But Monday as we get our state certification in Baton Rouge (part of your dossier to come:) we get to leave them with a sitter. They will have loads of fun!!! And less squirming.
